Xpress Launches "Xpress Go" - Zero Commission for 60 Days for Filipino TNVS Drivers

METRO MANILA, Philippines - As the country commemorates Independence Day, Xpress Super App officially launches Xpress Go, a Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) program that charges zero commission to Filipino drivers for their first 60 days on the platform - providing immediate fuel crisis relief while advancing the long-term electrification of Philippine mobility.

The program responds to the national energy emergency declared by Malacañang in March 2026 and the call from policymakers for ride-hailing platforms to ease the financial burden on Filipino drivers. Xpress Go has been developed in coordination with the LTFRB.

How the program works
- Every Filipino TNVS driver who signs up and activates with Xpress Go from June 12 to August 31, 2026 receives:
- 0% commission for the first 60 days on the platform
- A permanent 12% commission rate thereafter, locked in writing through December 31, 2026
- The Vehicle Branding Program - an additional ₱4,000 per month for carrying the Xpress Go decal
- Driver milestone bonuses of up to ₱5,000 across the first 60 days, paid against verified trip volume
- The Refer-a-Driver Program - ₱1,000 each to the referrer and the qualified new driver when the new driver completes 100 trips within 30 days

The program is limited to 500 driver slots in Metro Manila, with priority access for drivers operating or committing to transition to hybrid or EV vehicles through Xpress' vehicle financing partnership with Cebuana Lhuillier or its partners.

What it means for a driver
A driver completing 10 to 12 trips a day at ₱300 average fare keeps between ₱18,000 and ₱21,600 more per month under Xpress Go than on a 20% commission platform - between ₱36,000 and ₱43,000 across the 60-day relief period, before milestone bonuses, decal payments, or referral incentives.

A Filipino company reinvesting in Filipino drivers
"Today is Independence Day. For 128 years, this day has reminded us of what Filipinos are capable of when we shape our own future," said Cliff Cabungcal, President of Xpress Super App. "Filipinos have always been early to good ideas - innovators and adopters, especially when the right path is also the right thing to do. Electric and hybrid vehicles are that path. But making the shift is hard. We know what that transition costs a driver and we know it can't fall on them alone."

Xpress can fund the ₱30 million commitment from a business that has grown across Metro Manila, Bataan, Pampanga, Laguna, Dumaguete, and Boracay, with revenue from its owned electric and hybrid fleet, corporate accounts, and diversified mobility services - reinvesting from a growing base, not cutting corners.

"Xpress has grown because Filipinos backed us - businesses, drivers, riders. Filipinos support Filipinos," Cabungcal added. "₱30 million into Xpress Go is our way of giving back to the people who got us here. After the relief period, our commission is 12% - locked in writing, and one of the lowest sustainable rates from any Filipino-owned ride-hailing platform. Para sa ating mga driver. Para sa bayan."

Incorporated in March 2022 and officially launched in July 2024, Xpress Super App is the Philippines' first Filipino-owned EV mobility company and a Forbes Asia "100 to Watch" 2025 honoree. The company has acquired over 120 hybrid and electric vehicles and built partnerships with BYD and Cebuana Lhuillier to support driver transition to cleaner and sustainable mobility solutions. It is now exploring expanding its EV fleet with GAC and Hongqi.

How drivers can join
TNVS drivers in Metro Manila can sign up at www.xpress.ph/xpressgo, through the Xpress Driver App, at activation booths across NCR, or via the official Ka-Xpress Partners Facebook page. Required documents: Professional driver's license, NBI clearance, vehicle OR/CR, LTFRB Provisional Authority or active TNVS franchise, and proof of insurance. Onboarding is processed within 48 hours.

Commuters can support the program by booking through the Xpress Super App, available on Google Play and the App Store.
